The 2001 PG National had 11 first-rounders and 6 more selected in the second round.
The PG/BA World Wood Bat also had 11 first round picks and 14 second round selections.
PG players accounted for over half the high school players drafted in all 50 rounds.

Denard Span
Prince Fielder
Scott Kazmir
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PG players accounted for over 80% of those selected in the first 15 rounds.
PG players will be on virtually every Division One college roster once again next
year.
56 former PG players are on the 8 teams in Omaha at the College World Series.
In 2001 a record 240 PG players were drafted and PG claimed 2002 would be even better.
In 2002 over 350 PG players were drafted.
