2003 Sunshine West Showcase
At 6 foot 3 and 175 pounds, Huffman is a good looking outfielder in a uniform. He projects easily with an athletic body and very solid bat. He threw well from the outfield and ran a 6.73 in the 60 giving him 2 average Major League tools to start with. He took BP and had one of the best rounds of the day. He took a good fast bat to the games and proved he has some hitting ability too. His power is real and to all fields. He showed 400 foot power with wood and he is getting closer to being a well-rounded pro prospect each time we see him. He finished the camp with one of the top bats in the event and one of the top prospects as well. He is a player that needs to be followed by scouts and College coaches for the 2004 draft. Excellent student.
