Daniel Moreno is a 2007 middle infielder from Madison HS in San Diego, CA, with a 5'9", 150 lb. frame. Moreno is a young player with a lean and wiry body. Defensively he has good actions with soft hands and solid footwork. He gets in position to make all the plays, and showed good body control on slow rollers. Moreno has the actions to play either middle infield spot, but his arm is more playable at second base. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and athletic base. Moreno shows solid bat speed with a line drive swing plane, and has the ability to use the whole field. He tracks balls well at the plate and has a good idea of the strike zone. Moreno is also an outstanding student.
