He has a very projectable body which could develop very well over the next few years. Defensively, Marrero has good actions at first base and moves to the ball well. He moves athletically around the base and picks the ball very well. He has soft hands and has a loose arm action on his throws. At the plate, Marrero starts with an open stance and stays open throughout his swing. He has a quiet appraoch and keeps the barrel on a line drive path. Marrero is a slash type hitter and drifts to contact some. He has power potential and will hit for more power as he learns to hit with better balance and leverage. Marrero has the physical size and tools to improve into a solid prospect in the near future. He is a very good student.
