Sean Spear is a 2008 SS/2B with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Newbury Park CA, who attends Oaks Christian. Spear has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively, Spear moves to the ball well and is light on his feet. He has good hands and has solid defensive actions. Spear has arm strength and has some carry on his throws across the infield. At the plate, Spear has a good approach with present line drive pop. He looks to hit line drives and has a short compact swing. Spear has quick hands with bat speed and hits the ball to the opposite field well. He can swing it well from both sides of the plate and makes consistent contact. Good student.
