Marco DiRoma is a 2008 C/3B with a 6'1'', 200 lb. frame from Bolton, ON who attends Robert F. Hall HS. He has a wide shouldered, strong build. DiRoma has a very strong arm behind the plate and threw 77 mph in drills with a best pop time of 2.04. He has good receiving fundamentals and stays compact well; his challenge catching will be to keep working on his quickness. DiRoma is a left handed hitter who hits out of a squat stance with a busy hand load and a upper cut swing plane. DiRoma's strength is an asset and he's looking to launch the ball and drive it somewhere. He showed some opposite field pop and is a dangerous hitter on mistake pitches. We appreciated DiRoma's style of play, he's a hustler who shows leadership skills and wants to be on the field.

Marco DiRoma is a 2008 C/1B with a 6'1'', 215 lb. frame from Bolton ON, who attends Robert Hall CSS. He has a thick, strong build and will have to continually work on maintaining his flexibility. DiRoma has very good arm strength and threw 76 mph during catching drills. His best pop time of 2.12 is the result of a long arm stroke and release. His throws were very accurate and he'll throw out runners, though. DeRoma showed good quickness out in front of the plate and was a high energy receiver. At the plate, DiRoma is a left handed hitter who hits out of a spread, crouched no stride stance. He has some back side collapse in his swing and rotates his upper body hard to create bat speed. DiRoma's raw strength gives him some gap to gap power on contact. He could further improve as a hitter with some mechanical adjustments.
