Anthony DeSclafani is a 2008 RHP with a 6'3'', 175 lb. frame from Freehold, NJ who attends Colts Neck HS. He has a slender, young build and hasn't started to get strong yet. DeSclafani has a low effort delivery and very long and loose whippy arm action and an extended mid 3/4's release point. He threw a 4 seam fastball that topped out at 92 mph and a 2-seamer that had nice sink and run at 87 mph and was able to throw both pitches to spots low in the zone. With his loose and easy arm, DeSclafani projects more velocity in the future. His slider and change up are still in the developing stages. Like many pitchers with similar arm actions/release points, getting a feel for a breaking ball is difficult and DeSclafani's slider is soft with an early break. With his easy delivery, long arm action and lack of off speed pitches, he lacks deception right now.

Anthony DeSclafani is a 2008 RHP from Colts Neck HS, residing in Freehold, New Jersey, with a 6'3"/175 pound frame. DeSclafani has a slender, long lean build. DeSclafani pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He has a loose whippy arm action and his arm works well. He has a quick arm with projectable velocity. DeSclafani has smooth mechanics and an easy delivery. He repeats his delivery well and throws 3 pitches for strikes. DeSclafani gets had armside run and sink on his 2 seam fastball, a pitch that will eat up right hand hitters. He throws an 11/5 curveball that has tight rotation and has the potential to be a strikeout pitch. DeSclafani also throws a changeup at 78 mph with good arm speed and sink. DeSclafani is a good student and is a national level prospect.
