Marshall Halbleib is a 2008 3B/RHP that attends Deep Run HS and resides in Richmond, VA with a 5'11", 185 lb. frame. Marshall has a thick build and showed good two-way potential. At the plate Marshall has good strength in his swing with quick wrists to make consistent line-drive contact. His swing can get a little long at times and he will need to work on getting his hands inside the ball more. At third base Marshall shows good tools with clean actions. He has a solid arm, but his release is a little slow making third base ideal for him. On the mound Marshall throws from a short compact arm action with good arm speed and a power-pitcher approach. He has good life on his fastball with good command and really attacks hitters. His curveball is a tight 11 to 5 downer and he should really give high school hitters problems. Marshall is a player that will attract attention from many mid to high-level college programs
