2006 Mid-Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Tyler Rowe is a 2008 C/2B that attends Kempsville HS and resides in Virginia Beach, VA with a 5'7", 168 lb. frame. Tyler has an athletic build and produced solid pop times during the workout. (2.05) At the plate Tyler hits from a no-stride approach with a short swing. He makes consistent contact at the plate and likes to go the opposite field. Tyler is a little lacking in strength and will need to work on getting stronger so he will drive the ball harder consistently. Behind the plate Tyler is somewhat herky in his throwing mechanics. When he gets it all together he can be good, but he needs to smoothen out his arm action and release. Tyler is a kid that many smaller colleges should take notice of.
