2006 Atlantic Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Paul Duncan is a 2007 LHP from New Trier HS in Northfield, IL with a 6'3", 190 lb. frame. Paul has a tall athletic build and was one of the most impressive pitchers at the showcase. On the mound Paul threw from a high 3/4 arm slot and showed off a live arm action. He has smooth mechanics and produced good armside run on his fastball. He can occasionally open up a little early and fall towards third base, but he can easily correct this with a little work. For his off-speed pitches Paul shows off a sharp 1 to 7 CB. Paul has a good mound presence and exudes confidence on the mound. Paul will be a high-level college prospect that will be able to contribute early in college.
