2006 Mid-Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Patrick Hall is a 2008 1B that attends Ocean Lakes HS and resides in Virginia Beach, VA with a 6'4", 250 lb. frame. Patrick is a very imposing physical kid that looks like he could be a top-level football prospect. At the plate Patrick has a short simple swing that is very repeatable. His raw power potential is off the charts and it is hard to see many parks being able to hold him. Patrick did show a nice ability to go with where the pitch was thrown and use the entire field. His swing was somewhat abbreviated at the finish and he needs to make sure he hits through the ball each time. At first base Patrick shows nice range for his size and was fairly light on his feet. He pushs the ball a little on his throws but still has plenty of arm strength. Patrick is a bit of a raw prospect at this time but he has big-time potential. He could be a mid to high-level college recruit in the next year.
