Rick Kazigian is a 2008 RHP/3B with a 5'11'', 185 lb. frame from Broomall PA, who attends Malvern Prep. Kazigian has a medium sized frame with present strength. Kazigian pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He has arm speed and throws on a down hill plane. Kazigian stays online through his mechanics and has a good delivery. He throws a slurve that has flashes of a stikeout pitch with tight spin and big break. At the plate, Kazigian starts with an open stance with a wide base. He strides open as the pitch comes and uses a toe tap trigger to start his swing. He gets extension in his swing and has some strenght in his swing. He can only hit pitches on the inner half of the plate and he will be more effective at plate coverage as he learns to get closed at load or swing inline. Kazigian is a good student.
