Landon Steinhagen is a 2008 C/1B with a 6'1'', 205 lb. frame from Beaumont, TX who attends Monsignor Kelly HS. He has a very strong build, especially in the lower half. Steinhagen hits from a no stride approach with a deep hand load. At times, he tends to raise up during the swing that changes his eye level just prior to contact. Steinhagen has very good bat speed and flashed big pull power on a couple of occasions. He is definitely looking to pull the ball hard whenever possible. Steinhagen is a good runner for his size and position at 7.21 and shows good quickness defensively. His catching skills are still developing but the power bat has a chance to go a long ways.. Steinhagen is also a very good student.

Landon Steinhagen is a 2008 C with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Beaumont, TX, who attends Monsignor Kelly HS. Landon has a athletic well-developed build. He shows good raw hitting tools with nice balance and leverage in his swing. He has a little too much lift in his swing and needs to make sure he keeps his bat in the zone for longer. Behind the plate Landon is a solid receiver with a clean release. He gets in trouble with a long arm action and will need to shorten up in the future. Landon is a solid student that should attract the attention of many small to mid-level college programs.
