He hits from a slightly open stance with a no stride approach and an inside out swing. Martinez is a solid line drive hitter and makes consistent contact. Defensively he has active feet and moves well in the middle of the diamond. Martinez has soft hands that allow him to make grounders look easy. He also showed great body control on balls he had to move for showing fluid actions. He will make all of the plays defensively. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance. He uses a rock back load and cocks the bat back. Martinez has a flat swing plane that stays in the zone for a long time allowing him to make consistent contact to all fields. He has solid bat speed, and should hit for average at the next level. Martinez has instincts for the game, and he runs the bases well. A good follow because of the upside to his game.

Currently his arm is the only thing keeping him from being top-flight defender. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a very wide base and uses a no stride approach. Martinez has solid bat speed through the hitting zone and stays balanced. He shows the ability to hit the ball to all fields and be a gap to gap hitter.. Martinez gets good leverage at the point of contact. He has upside to his game, and he is an advanced defender who must be followed. Martinez is also an excellent student.
