Holness is a 5-7 junior outfielder from New York with good present strength. During batting practice Holness tried to loft the ball and had some backside collapse and an upper cut swing. During games he switched to a better approach for his size, squared up and leveled out and shortened his swing and had some nice at bats, including a couple of hits and a deep sac fly. Holness showed us nice defensive skills in centerfield. He has nice arm strength and a quick, short release and ran down some balls in the gaps. Holness is a hustling type of player with a great attitude and these types of players usually make good defenders.

Christopher Holness is a 2006 outfielder from Rosedale, New York, with a 5'7", 165 pound frame. He hits with a relaxed and quiet approach out of a closed stance. Holness is very short and compact to the ball with good bat speed that allows him to make solid contact to all fields. Holness consistently made solid gap to gap contact both in batting practice and the games. In the outfield, he showed a strong, accurate arm at 80 mph. He also showed good baseball instincts and was always in the right place on the field. He needs to be followed.
