Christopher Evans is a 2006 OF/MIF RHP from Marietta High School in Marietta, GA, with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame. He has a lean and athletic body with good speed. Evans ran the sixty in 7.06 seconds on a very slow and wet track. Defensively he has good actions in the outfield with solid arm strength with online carry on his throws. His overall speed and first step quickness help him cover a great deal of ground. At the plate he is a switch hitter with similar tools from both sides. Evans shows a little more pop from the left side. Evans is a contact type hitter with a line drive swing plane and looks to put the ball in play. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an easy delivery and good arm arch. Evans stays balanced through his delivery and stays online to the plate. His fastball topped out at 79 mph with slight running action. He is also a very good student.
