Brian McDonald is a 2007 right handed pitcher from Foxboro, Massachusetts who attends Xaverian Brothers High School and has a 6'4" 170 pound frame. He has a tall lean body that is very projectable. Brian throws from a 3/4 arm slot and has a long loose arm. He has good arm speed and plenty of whip. He does throw across his body some which gives him very good run and sink on his fastball which he threw 79-82 mph. His change up also has good action on it at 67 mph. His slider could end up being a big time strike out pitch for him especially with his mechanics. He threw his slider at 69. Brian is an excellent student who has a 3.8 grade point average, scored a 2130 on his SAT and a 31 on his ACT.
