Evan Frazar is a 2009 SS/3B with a 6'1'', 209 lb. frame from Bellaire, TX who attends St Pius X. Evan has a strong stocky build and he is very athletic. His hands work well in the infield and he has a big arm across the diamond that tops out at 91 mph. He has good power at the plate and shows good hitting tools. The ball comes off the barrel well and he makes hard contact. As his hitting continues to develop watch out. Frazar also ran a 6.52 60 in the Metrodome. Evan Frazar is a 2009 OF/SS/P with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Bellaire, TX, who attends Bellaire HS. Named to the Top Prospect Team at this event. Lean and athletic build. Defensively he has great actions in the middle of the diamond with soft hands, nice footwork, and arm strength. Frazar has great range, especially to his left, and got to everything hit in his direction. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away and upright stance with a quiet approach. Frazar has good bat speed with a line drive swing plane and is short to the ball. Has the ability to drive the ball and hit some bullets in game action. Once on the bases, he gets quick jumps and can steal a bass. He has instincts for the game. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action and good arm speed. Frazar repeats his delivery, but has a tendency to pull too hard to his glove side causing him to miss high. Frazar is a two-way prospect that must be followed, and he is a good student as well.
