Chris Trappy -- Trappy is a sophomore catcher with a solid, mature build and good present strength. His best tool right now looks like his power and hitting ability. Trappy has a nice load and trigger at the plate and a well coordinated, athletic swing. He has some loft in his swing and hit a couple balls very deep both in batting practice and in games. He’s a few years away but it looks like this young prospect’s bat is going to play at the next level and play big. Defensively, Trappy showed good arm strength for a sophomore and solid pop times. He runs well for his age and has good body life, too. This kid can play and has a bright future. Chris is a very good student as well.

Good catcher with some arm strength and excellent quickness. His best tool is the bat. Nice balanced approach, good bat speed, good level swing. Smokes line drives, the ball jumps off his wood bat. Definitely a player for the next level. He needs to be followed.
