Defensively, Smith has good actions and good footwork to the ball. He has nice hands and moves to the ball well. Smith has developing arm strength and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Smith has an aggressive swing and looks to pull the ball. He coils well at load and has a good set up to the ball. Smith has bat speed with present gap to gap pop. He can hit the ball with more authority to the pullside and has quick hands. Smith swings on a line drive path and makes consistent contact. Excellent student.
