2006 Mid-Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Taylor Seay is a 2009 RHP/C/OF that attends Patrick Henry HS and resides in Montpelier, VA with a 5'11", 170 lb. frame. Taylor has a lean athletic build and showed good overall athletic ability. On the mound Taylor has a live arm where he throws from an OH arm slot with good arm speed. Taylor has nice cut action on his fastball and looks like he could pick up a good amount of velocity in the future. He has clean mechanics and a downer 11 to 5 CB and a nice straight CH. Taylor really attacks hitters on the mound and shows nice upside on the mound. At the plate Taylor shows good bat speed, but really pulls off the pitch. When he work on keeping his front side on the ball and keeping his weight back he will drive the ball more consistently. Taylor showed a very nice set of tools in outfield. He is very athletic and has nice range and carry on his throws. Taylor is a good all-around athlete that projects at a number of different positions. He is a player that could attract the attention of many mid to high-level college programs.
