Jeffrey Kemp is a 2008 IF from Archbishop Spalding HS in Bowie, MD with a 6'1", 175 lb. frame. Jeffrey has a tall athletic build and was impressive in the field and at the plate during the showcase. He has very good present bat speed and has the look of a hitter in the box. He made solid line-drive contact and you can see developing power in his build. Jeffrey has the ability to be a highest-level college prospect. In the field Jeffrey has very good throwing actions with good carry and an accurate arm. He has nice range (7.28) and his glove skills were very strong. His tools looked like a college player even though he is a few years away. Jeffrey will be a highest-level college prospect that could receive some draft attention in a few years. He plays for a strong high school team and one of the top travel teams in the country (Dirtbags) so exposure should not be an issue.
