Nick Zaharion is a 2009 C/OF/3B from Jupiter HS in North Palm Beach, FL with a 6'1", 215 lb. frame. Nick is very strong for his age and showed a nice set of raw hitting tools. His speed is quite amazing for his size and age. (7.12) He hits from a tall calm stance at the plate and produces very good bat speed. His approach at the plate is very advanced where he gets a good load and then attacks the baseball. His raw power is very impressive for his age and could make him a big threat in college at the plate. One thing Nick could work on is he sometimes pulls off the ball, but this can easily be corrected if he keeps his front side on the ball longer. Nick has the ability to overmatch high school pitchers at this point. Behind the plate Nick has a solid arm, but has a tendency to stand up straight when he gets rid of the ball. He is athletic enough where he should be able to correct this with work. Nick is a very strong kid that should be a highest-level college prospect.
