Juan Guerra is a 2008 RHP/SS with a 5'10'', 155 lb. frame from Chino, CA who attends Don Antonio Lugo. Guerra has a small frame with a wirey thin build. Guerra pitches from a side arm slot with a long arm action. He has good loosenes too his arm and slings the ball some. Guerra gets good armside run and sink on his fastball with some late life. He showed the ability to pitch inside and was effective in doing so. Guerra gets sink on his change-up and maintains good armspeed on that pitch. He is a groundball pitcher who pitches to contact well. At the plate, Guerra starts with a straight stance and high hands. He swings on a flat path with a front arm bar. He uses his hands OK in his swing and showed a good ability to center the ball up. Defensively, Guerra has a feel for how to play infield and has nice hands. He has a nice release with a chance to be a pretty solid infielder.
