Elmore is a 6-2, 215 lb senior outfielder from Dallas with a very strong and mature body. He ran the 60 in 7.59 and showed very good college level arm strength from the outfield at 87 mph. His overall body strength enables him to generates serious bat speed from both sides of the plate. Elmore tends to get out front early from the right side but he gets good extension through the ball and can hit it a long way to the middle of the field. From the left side, Elmore tends to be more wristy and cut himself off out front trying to pull the ball. He's a dangerous hitter who pitcher's can't afford to make a mistake with. Elmore also showed his arm strength from the mound. He has a long arm stroke with good arm speed on a fastball that reached 84 mph. He also threw a 71-73 mph curveball. Elmore looks like a weight lifter who will have to be careful about getting too strong and bring more stiffness into his actions for baseball. He's a very interesting player overall with classic right field type tools. Good student.

Chris Elmore is a 2006 outfielder/right handed pitcher from Dallas, TX with a thick strong build at 6-2, 216 lbs. He ran the 60 in 7.34. Elmore showed very good arm strength during outfield drills at 89 mph and charged balls aggressively. We've seen him on the mound at other events throwing in the mid to upper 80's. Elmore is a switch hitter with a strong, balanced approach at the plate. He is more contact oriented from the right side and will hit to all fields with a line drive swing plane. From the left side Elmore has more lift in his swing and better extension that results in more power potential. He is also a very good student.

Chris Elmore is a Class of 2006 outfielder from Dallas, TX, with one of the best young baseball bodies you’re going see. He has a strong and loose body with a good athletic bounce to his actions. Elmore is a switch hitter who has above average power potential that he’ll flash at you now from both sides of the plate. From the right side, Elmore has an early weight shift and long stride that results in some balance issues on his swing, but he generates good bat speed and uses his hands well through contact. Left handed, Elmore has a shorter stride and more compact swing. Defensively, Elmore’s excellent MLB arm strength make him a prototypical right fielder. He did show some tentativeness running routes in the outfield, but he’ll have plenty of time work on that. Elmore is a definite follow for 2006. Chris is a very good student.
