Blaine Schmidt is a 2009 C/OF/P with a 5'9'', 171 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Deer Valley. Athletic build, quick hands at the plate, good balance in swing, quiet hitting approach, some extension in swing, good feel for hitting, good raw arm strength behind the plate, solid receiver, commands the game well, loose easy arm action on the mound, arm works well, solid 11 to 5 curveball, nice downhill plane on pitches, sinking action on change-up, great student.
