Matthew Jordan is a 2008 LHP with a 6'2'', 200 lb. frame from Kingston, NY who attends Kingston HS. He has a good pitcher's build and still projects some strength. Jordan had nice velocity for a young left hander, throwing 84-86 consistently and topping out at 87 mph while getting some cutting action frequently.. He has a high energy delivery with a long and whippy arm action that provides some deception. Jordan's breaking ball was a big and sweeping at 73 mph and was sharp at times. He showed nice feel for a change up at 74 mph. Jordan can clean up his delivery some but already has nice overall stuff, three solid pitches and an idea on the mound. He is a good follow who should keep improving. Jordan is also a good student.
