Thomas Malone is a 2009 RHP/OF with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Cinco Ranch. Thomas has a large frame with a thick lower half, and room to add size throughout. He has long limbs, and has a good build on the mound. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and uses a high leg kick. He uses a full windup and takes his hands over his head at the beginning of his delivery. He has some arm strength, and had a top fastball velocity of 81 mph off of the mound. He will be able to add velocity as his tempo and mechanics smooth out. At the plate he is a rotational hitter from a high hand set, with a wide base and a deep load. He takes an aggressive swing and will look to pull the ball on the inner half of the plate. He is a smart player with a good approach to the game. Thomas is also a very good student.

Thomas Malone is a 2009 RHP/OF with a 6'2'', 175 lb. frame from Katy, TX, who attends Cinco Ranch HS. Malone is a young (2009) player with a tall frame, and he has long limbs. He has a very projectable body. On the mound he throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with a long arm circle on the back side. Malone has a loose and easy arm, that should hold up over time. We also project that he will throw harder in the near future. He gets good sink and fading action on his 71 mph change-up. His fastball has little life to his arm side, but he has upside on the mound. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance. Malone has busy hands pre-pitch, but he usually gets them in the hitting position in time. He has solid bat speed, through the hitting zone, and has the ability to hit to all fields. He is a young player with lots of projection.
