Scott Pasket is a 2007 C/P/OF with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Anderson TX, who attends Anderson-Shiro HS. He has a medium build and developing overall strength. Pasket threw 1.97 during catching drills with a 74 mph throwing velocity. He has a long, piece by piece arm action that he can shorten up to improve his throw times. His arm strength is solid. Pasket is a 7.36 runner and moves athletically for a catcher. He hits from an open stance with a wrapped bat and generates some bat speed with a line drive swing. He keeps his swing short and has good balance at contact. Pasket will improve with more strength but his hitting mechanics are pretty sound. He also took a turn on the mound and threw 82 mph from a full delivery and high 3/4's release point. Pasket did a good job throwing strikes and it looked like he had some deception for the hitters. His 66 mph curveball had a big 11/5 type of break. Pasket is a very good student.
