Chase Koissian is a 2008 OF/3B with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from Cypress CA, who attends Cypress HS. He is a lean, athletic ballplayer whose skill set and overall abilities will stand out more and more as he gains strength in the coming years. Koissian has a well-rounded game and should be a very fine college player. He can do a little bit of everything on the field, is fundamentally sound, and clearly well-coached. His strengths as an offensive player are a sound, quiet hitting approach and quick bat. Koissian hits the hard on a line to all fields and will occasionally get a ball though the gaps for extra bases. He is short to the ball, makes consistent contact and can handle quality pitching. Defensively he can play any of the outfield positions well at the college level. He has a strong, quick arm that will be enhanced further with future strength. Koissian has a quick release and makes low, accurate throws that will result in many outfield assists. He moves to the ball well and gets to it in good position to throw. Major D1 college programs should be on him pretty regularly throughout the summer and fall. Koissian is a good student as well.

Chase Koissian is a 2008 OF/3B with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from Cypress CA, who attends Cypress HS. Selected as a Top Prospect at this event. He has a lean, athletically proportioned body and flashes lively actions. He should continue to be able to add strength and power to his frame as he physically matures. It is possible that Koissian could be recruited as a two-way college player, though his best upside is as a position player. He is quite polished for a young player and seems very comfortable in the game. Offensively Koissian possesses a quick bat and a disciplined hand path, staying consistently inside the ball. He is a line drive, spray hitter who should develop something a bit beyond gap power. In the outfield Koissian goes to the ball well and is a fundamentally sound, physically talented outfielder. His throws have low trajectory and he is accurate, with a good release. On the mound he topped at 80 mph and featured a quality three-pitch mix. He is a competitive strike thrower and could provide quality relief innings at the college level. He is a good student and plays at one of the top programs in Southern CA.

Chase Koissian is a 2008 right hand hitting outfielder/right handed pitcher from Cypress HS, residing in Cypress, CA. He has a 5'11" 155 lb. frame and a lean, athletic build that will continue to develop strength as he physically matures. Koissian's game has some polish and he has solid tools across the board. Offensively he starts with his hands held high and has some rhythm as a hitter. His swing path is consistently inside the baseball and he swings aggressively, driving through contact. Koissian has good bat speed and can spray line drives to all fields with some gap power. He maintains good balance and should be able to hit for average, while providing some extra base hits. Defensively he showed some feel for the game as well. He makes on-line throws and he sets up to the ball quite well. His defensive technique is very good and disciplined. He has some arm strength and will develop more, with his range being best for a corner spot. We have seen Koissian play in the infield before too, giving him the opportunity to develop into a versatile defensive player. On the mound he has a long arm stroke and sort of reaches back to gain some leverage. His arm works well and his arm speed is decent, with the fastball topping at 81 mph. His delivery is athletic and he separates early, giving him a chance to get to full extension out front. Koissian is competitive to the zone. His fastball has some sink and he showed control of his slider and change-up, which was thrown with nice arm speed. Koissian is a good position player prospect and will garner D1 interest.

Chase Koissian is a 2008 OF/P/IF from Cypress HS, residing in Cypress, CA, with a 5'10" 155 lb. frame. Koissian was named to the top prospect team at the California Underclass Showcase. Has an athletic, lean, and wiry build on a medium, smallish frame. Offensively he possesses a quick bat and a short, lively swing. Koissian has + balance and an excellent hand path to the ball. He gets thru the ball well at contact, resulting in hard line drives that can shoot through the gaps. His game at-bats were very good. Defensively he has a quick arm and lively actions with a good, fundamental approach to defense. His release is solid and overall he is a very good defensive player. On the mound he pitches from a 3/4 slot with a long arm action and solid mechanics. A strike thrower, he is able to start bats with his 79 mph FB that has some slight sink and a change-up that has nice fade action. Essentially he is a position player on the mound and he knows how to approach hitters. He competed and worked to mix his pitches. Consider Koissian a very good '08 follow for most D1 programs. His abilities are quality for the college game and will only become enhanced with physical maturity. He was a starting player as a sophomore at one of the top high schools in the nation.

Chase Koissian is a 2008 outfielder/second baseman from Cypress, California with a lean, athletic build at 5'9", 145 pounds. He hits from a wide base with little or no stride, and high hands. He has a slight weight shift into contact with a nice downward swing plane. He has a contact approach and showed good bat control. He has good opposite field ability and hits the ball where it is pitched. Koissian is an athletic young player who ran a 7.47 in the 60. Defensively, he has good instincts and a quick first step off the bat. He has good arm strength for his age at 76 mph with nice accurate throws. Lots of room to grow and he will be a very interesting prospect to follow over the next couple of years. Chase is a very good student.
