Jake Orr is a 2007 C/3B with a 6'1'', 155 lb. frame from Eagle Mountain, UT, who attends Bingham HS. Taller and lean frame with wiry strength. Orr plays the game hard and has very good defensive skills. Good receiver with soft hands and does a great job blocking balls in game action. Orr moves well and is light on his feet. Solid arm strength with carry on his throws through the second base bag. He controls the game from behind the plate. At the plate he is a switch hitter with a relaxed approach. He hits from an open stance with a short and compact swing and good bat speed. He likes the ball down and he uses the whole field well. Orr is currently a line drive hitter who will hit with more power as he matures. Very good catch and throw skills with a developing bat. He is also a good student.
