Patrick Savage is a 2009 1B/3B with a 6'2'', 205 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends Greater Atlanta Christian HS. Savage has a strong athletic build and shows excellent gap to gap power at the plate. The ball comes off his barrel fast and he makes hard contact a lot. He is short to the ball and shows easy power at the plate. He has big power potential and the bat must be followed closely by pro clubs. He also showed athleticism for someone his size with a 7.07 sixty. Savage is an outstanding student and has verbally committed to Auburn.

Patrick Savage is a 2009 1B/3B with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA, who attends Greater Atlanta Christian HS. Savage has an extra large frame with good present strength. Defensively he has nice fluid actions around the first base bag with good footwork. He has soft hands and stays down on the ball well. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an upright stance with a narrow base. Savage has good bat speed and he gets leverage at the point of contact that helps generate strength in his swing. Sometimes gets under the ball because his stride is too long and it lowers his eye level. Savage also showed the ability to hit to all fields, and has great upside at the plate. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with solid mechanics. He gets life on his heavy fastball that topped out at 80 mph, and we project he will throw much harder in the future because of his clean and fast arm. His curveball shows signs of development with a 12/6 break. Savage is a young prospect with very good upside and must be followed. He is a very good student as well.
