Jared Avidon is a 2009 RHP with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Oakland, NJ who attends Indian Hills HS. Avidon has strong build and a very fast arm. He uses a 3/4 arm angle and his fastball topped at 92 mph in the Metrodome. He has thrown harder. He has a full circle arm action with good balance in his delvery. The ball comes out of his hand well and he repeats his delveiry nicely. He also mixes in a 74 mph curveball. He attacks hitters and shows good pitchability. 2009 arm to watch closely.

Jared Avidon is a 2009 RHP/1B/OF with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Oakland NJ, who attends Indian Hills. Named to Top Prospect Team. Avidon has a big strong body with a big frame. Avidon pitches from a low 3/4 slot with a long loose arm action. He uses drop and drive style mechanics and pitches with low effort. Avidon has good arm speed and consistently works down in zone. He throws a very heavy fastball that gets good late life on it especially when it's down in the zone. His fastball gets armside run on it and throws it for strikes. Avidon has a very confident demeanor on the mound and really attacks hitters. He throws a sweeping curveball for strikes on a 10/4 plane. He also throws a good change-up at 78 mph with good arm speed and deception. Avidon throws all 3 pitches for strikes and they are all plus pitches. He works quickly on the mound and has a very projectable body and arm. He is a good student and is a prospect at the highest level.

Jared Avidon is a 2009 RHP/1B/OF from Indian Hills HS in Oakland, New Jersey, with a tall and lean 6'1"/180 pound frame. Jared pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with long and loose arm action. He has good arm speed with a balanced and online delivery with a downward plane to the plate. His fastball has arm side run at 86 mph. Avidon also throws a tight 11-5 curveball at 74 mph and has good arm speed on his 77 mph changeup. Jared hits from a slightly open stance with good hands and power potential. He has long arm action from first base with soft hands. Avidon is a very good 2009 prospect and a good student.
