Brandon Rainford is a 2010 RHP with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Rapid City, SD who attends Stevens HS. Mediuim athletic build. Leg raise delivery, clean arm circle, high 3/4's arm slot, tends to throw with low elbow at release, some effort. Mid to upper 80's fastball, mostly straight but occasionally cuts away from RHH'ers, soft curveball but consistent location and shape, tends to be too firm with change up. Signed with UNLV.

Brandon Rainford is a 2010 RHP/1B with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Rapid City, SD who attends Stevens HS. Broad shouldered build, good strength potential. Long easy arm circle, some cross body on release, short stride, high 3/4's release point, good arm speed. FB touched 89 mph early, mostly mid 80's, good running acton at times. CB shows nice sharpness, solid second pitch. Quality arm to develop. Also showed bat speed hitting, power to the gaps, lift in swing. Good student, verbal commitment to UNLV.

Brandon Rainford is a 2010 RHP/3B/OF with a 5'11'', 160 lb. frame from Rapid City SD, who attends Stevens HS. Brandon is a young prospect with a lean athletic build that has some room to fill out. On the mound Brandon has good arm strength with a short arm action that produces nice cut action on his fastball. Brandon will need to work on cleaning up his mechanics some, as his delivery and landing area seem to differ with most pitches. He is still young on the mound though and has a ton of arm strength for his age. At the plate Brandon has good balance in his swing with a level-swing plane. His swing is solid for his age, but he needs to work on shortening up some and getting his hands inside the ball more. In the field Brandon has the raw tools to be a solid third baseman. He has good hands and plenty of arm strength for the position. Brandon is a strong student that should attract the attention of many college programs in a few years.

Brandon Rainford is a 2010 SS/P/1B with a 5'10'', 150 lb. frame from Rapid City SD, who attends Stevens. He has a good projectable frame and has potential to be a solid power hitter. Good balance in his swing. On the mound, he showed good arm strength with 80-83 mph FB and 60-62 CB. Good arm strength in the infield as well. He is a good follow.
