Sean Raisch is a 2007 RHP with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from Urbandale IA, who attends Urbandale HS. He has a medium frame and some projectable strength. Raisch throws from a high 3/4's to overhand release point. His delivery is deliberate and slow paced and he maintains very good balance and direction to the plate. He repeated his delivery well and allowed his arm to work smoothly. Raisch's fastball was 79-81 mph and was pretty straight. He spotted his fastball well and used it with purpose. His out pitch was a 73 mph slider that had sharp, late break at times and good 2-plane action. We didn't see a change up. Raisch threw strikes early in counts and competed well and got quick outs. He could throw a little harder in the future and his slider is a nice pitch. Raish is also an excellent student.
