Matt Zuzek is a 2007 OF/P/3B with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Victoria, Minnesota, who attends Chaska High School. He has a lean and projectable body with athletic actions. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with good hitting mechanics. He loads his hands well and has good bat speed through the hitting zone. Zuzek stays balanced through his swing and gets good leverage at the point of contact. He makes adjustments with his hands that should allow him to hit for a good average as well as with gap power. Zuzek took a very good batting practice and has good upside. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a arm swing delivery. His fastball topped out 78 mph with good riding action. With his size and arm speed, it is easy to project him throwing harder in the future. His best pitch is his change-up that he throws at 66 mph. He gets good sink and fade on the pitch, and keeps hitters off-balance. Zuzek is an excellent student as well.
