Andre Oliver is a 2008 RHP/SS/OF with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Westbury HS. Athletic build, loose easy arm action on the mound, arm works well, balanced online delivery, nice downhill plane, good extension out front, 11 to 5 curveball, nice run on change-up, quiet hitting approach, quick hands, good swing plane, solid middle of the field contact, stays inside the ball well, upside at the plate, raw arm strength in th field, solid actions, two-way potential.

Andre Oliver is a 2008 RHP/OF with a 5'11", 155 lb frame from Houston, TX who attends Westbury HS. Andre has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out. On the mound Andre has a fairly loose arm that works well with good arm speed. Ande gets a good drop and drive in his delivery which is pretty clean. If anything Andre falls towards the first base side some causing some nice cut action on his fastball. Andre shows a 12 to 6 curveball but needs to make sure he stays on top of the pitch as it gets loose at times. At the plate Andre has a balanced leveraged stance where he produces good bat speed. Andre tracks the ball well and gets good extension through his swing He showed consistent line drive contact and the ball really jumped off his bat well. Andre is a player that should attract the attention of some mid-level college programs.

Andre Oliver is a 2008 OF/3B from Houston, TX, with a 5'10'', 155 lb. frame. He is a lean and athletic player with good speed (7.19-60) and quickness on the bases and in the field. Defensively he has a strong arm (81 mph) for his age from the outfield with a balanced release, good accuracy and online carry. Oliver moves well to the ball getting good jumps and showing athleticism. He has very good defensive skills for an '08 outfielder. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a nice swing plane from a wide stance. Oliver uses a rock back load and is short to the ball with nice hands. He has a balanced swing and makes consistent line drive contact to all fields. Oliver does show projectable power who can drive the gaps. He is a smooth and easy runner on the bases as well. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot and his fastball topped out at 80 mph. He also mixes in a 67 mph curveball, and he throws strikes. A very good follow from the 2008 class.
