Andrew Rivera is a 2009 LHP/OF with a 6'0'', 167 lb. frame from Key West FL, who attends Key West. Rivera has a thin lean build with a lanky body. Rivera pitches from an over the top arm slot with a short arm action. He pitches with a low effort delivery and has smooth mechanics. Rivera gets good extension out front and gets good arm side run on his fastball. He fields his position well and has athletic actions covering first base and fielding the ball. He falls off to the side some, but with improved balance that can be corrected fairly easy. At the plate, Rivera uses a no stride approach with quiet hands in the box. He maintains good balance through his swing and swings from a crouch. He showed good hand eye coordination and centers the ball well. In the outfield, Rivera throws with a long arm action and has developing arm strength. He gathers the ball well and moves athletically to the ball. He is an excellent student.

Andrew Rivera is a 2009 OF/P/1B with a 5'10'', 154 lb. frame from Key West FL, who attends Key West HS. He has a very young, lean body with plenty of room to grow and get stronger. He ran the 60 in 7.75 and threw 72 mph during outfield drills. He has smooth, easy actions in the outfield and should improve with strength and time. Rivera is a left handed thrower, right handed hitter with a good balanced approach at the plate. He keeps his weight back well and moves through the ball at contact. He tends to be late getting his bat started but shows the ability to make swing adjustments and square up on the ball. More strength will definitely help Rivera; he has good fundamentals to grow from. Rivera also pitched some and showed some promise from the left side. He has a long, loose arm action and a smooth delivery. His fastball had good running action at 73 mph and his curveball had solid spin and bite at 62 mph. Overall, Rivera's a good athlete with baseball skills, he just needs to get stronger. He is also a good student.

Andrew Rivera is a 2009 1B/OF/P from Key West HS in Key West, FL, with a 5'10'', 154 lb. frame. He's very young and still developing his strength. Rivera has some bat speed for his age. He sets up with his weight way back in his stance and is inconsistent about either getting his weight moving forward or diving in too severely. Once he gets his balance and rhythm figured out, Rivera could develop nicely as a hitter. He shows good hand strength in hitting the ball deep in the zone and has a level, line drive swing. Rivera ran the 60 in 8.36 and threw 72 mph from the outfield with a long arm arch. He lists himself as a primary first baseman.
