2007 World Showcase
Sam Jones is a 2007 3B/OF with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Bradenton, Florida, who attends The Pendleton School. Sam has a tall athetic build and made some very nice plays during the games. At the plate Sam can go to all fields, but needs to make some adjustments in his approach. He gets negative momentum to the ball and really has the ability to hit the ball a lot better. Sam looks very comfortable in the field with great balance and feel. He has nice carry on his throws and has all the tools needed to play third base. Sam is a solid player that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
