Alex Parker is a 2008 3B/MIF with a 6'3'', 162 lb. frame from Plantation FL, who attends University School. He has a young and lean body that is very projectable, almost like a young pitcher, although Parker doesn't pitch. His actions at third base are solid, he moves well side to side, stays balanced and has a smooth exchange and developing arm strength. Offensively, Parker hits from a no load approach which doesn't give him a good chance to get the bat moving with his current physical development. He has a good swing plane but has to rotate his body around the ball to generate bat speed and ends up swinging around the ball. More strength will definitely help. Parker is also a good student.
