2006 Mid-Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Nickolas Lundstrom is a 2007 OF/RHP/IF that attends East Providence HS and resides in East Providence, RI with a 5'7", 140 lb. frame. Nickolas has a wirey athletic build and was one of the best fast-twitch athletes at the showcase. At the plate Nickolas has very good bat speed and is able to turn on the ball easily. He produced consistent hard contact and has a very good approach at the plate. In the field Nickolas showed good arm strength with a short compact arm action. He has good all-around range (7.22) and his all-around athletic ability was impressive in the infield. On the mound Nickolas throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short compact arm action. Nickolas has good arm speed with some run on the ball, but could throw even harder if he gets more out of his lower half. Nickolas might not have great size, but he makes up for it in many other ways. He looks like a player that could be a solid mid to high-level college prospect.
