2003 South Top Prospect Showcase
At 6 foot 2 and 170 pounds, Corgan has a very projectable body with an already strong core to build on. He is a right-hander with a fast arm and balanced delivery combining a tall posture with a good stride. He showed the best command in the showcase and repeated his release point with precision. He threw a fastball between 88-90 mph and showed 2 other impressive pitches in his curve and a sharp 78 mph slider. He works quickly on the mound. He shows maturity and a great feel for pitching. In Waco, Corgan easily showed some of the best pitchability we've seen this summer. This kid has a chance to be extra special! Chance is a good student.
