Anthony Ragos is a 2007 OF/MIF from Forest Park HS in Dumfries, VA with a 5'8", 150 lb. frame. Anthony was a little guy that could really fly. His definetly looked faster than his 60 time of 7.08. At the plate Anthony has a very quiet approach with a no load or stride approach. He made solid middle of the field contact and showed quick hands. With his speed Anthony is best suited to put the ball on the ground and try and beat out many plays. In the field Anthony showed off very quick actions and was smooth to the ball. Anthony plays at full speed the whole time and makes most plays look easy. He shows outstanding tools at second base, but could play several different positions on the field. Anthony has the scrappy feel to him as a player that will always help his team to victory. He could be a solid second baseman at a mid-size Division I School.

Anthony Ragos is a 2007 MIF/OF from Forest Park HS, residing in Dumfries, VA, with a 5'8" 140 lb. frame. Ragos was named to the top prospect team at the California Underclass Showcase, in large part due to the way he approached the game. He is a young player that seems to understand what his abilities and strengths are and it was a pleasure to watch him play. Ragos has a small but strong, twitchy, and compact type build. A right handed hitter, Ragos is pretty short in taking his hands to the ball and he is competitive in the box. He makes the pitcher make quality pitches to get him out and when he puts the ball in play it generally is on the ground, forcing the defense to make a play. Ragos has good balance and a long finish. His sweeping swing can keep bat in zone and he battles. A pesky hitter, Ragos is a good base runner. He is a contact hitter and with his 4.23 speed home to first he puts pressure on the defense. On defense Ragos is aggressive to the ball. His hands are good and he took ok angles to the ball. He tends to make sure of the everyday play and like in all other phases of the game, he competes on defense. He is one tough nosed type of player. With Ragos, the term "scrapper" comes to mind. His tools are not as strong as is his ability to play the game of baseball. He can and will compete at collegiate level, and it is not out of the question to suggest that he can do so at the D1 level, likely for a small-midsize program.
