Nick Williams is a 2007 3B/C from Garner Magnet in Garner, NC with a 6'2", 200 lb. frame. Nick has a thick present build with good present strength in his body. Nick showed good pop when he got his mechanics all together. He has a pronounced weight shift that takes away from his power. He has some potential at the plate, but needs to smoothen out his mechanics. Behind the plate he showed off good arm strength, (75) with a fairly quick release. While his throws were accurate, some seemed to die because he does not use any lower half in his throws. Nick is a strong kid that needs some fine tuning in his game. He looks to be a smaller college type recruit at this time.
