Michael Kordich is a 2007 RHP with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Newport Beach CA, who attends Mater Dei. Kordich has a strong body with a good build. Kordich pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action. He has good arm speed and pitches with a lot of effort. He has good mechanics and stays fairly smooth through his delivery. Kordich gets armside run on his fastball and some sink when it is down in the zone. He throws a 11/5 curveball with good spin and some depth. Kordich has a loose arm and is good over the rubber in his mechanics. He maintains good balance through his delivery and finishes toward the plate. Kordich is an athletic pitcher who fields his position well. Good student.

Michael Kordich is a 2007 RHP with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Newport Beach, CA, who attends Mater Dei HS. He has a medium frame with present strength. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle on the back side. Kordich has a loose and easy arm action with minimal effort. He stays inline and is very balanced over the rubber. He gets good leverage with a smooth delivery and he finishes his pitches well. His fastball topped out at 82 mph with arm side run. Kordich also throws a 68 mph curveball with an 11 to 5 break, and a 73 mph changeup. He throws strikes with all three pitches, and he mixes his fastball and curveball well. Kordich struck out 5 in 4 innings of work while allowing only 1 run. He is also a good student.

Michael Kordich is a 2007 RHP/OF from Mater Dei HS, residing in Newport Beach, CA, with a 6'1" 190 lb. frame. He has a very nice build with long arms. He is lean and strong. A primary pitcher, Kordich pitches from a 3/4 slot with good mechanics. His body is very interesting. Though he does not have much fastball yet, his 69 mph SL is pretty good right now, actually it is his best pitch, particular when he gets to proper extension. Kordich's 79-80 mph FB has some arm side run and he flashed a usable 69 mph CH. As he maximizes his delivery and strength/flexibility, Kordich can reach the low-mid 80s range and if he can continue to mix in a quality slider and usable change-up, he will pitch at the small college level. On offense he got decent extension of his arms and showed decent balance. Though not a pure hitter, he showed some power potential with his pull side approach. In the outfield he set up to the ball well and went to the ball well too, while putting out solid defensive effort, evidenced in a diving play in the LF centerfield gap. Kordich is a follow prospect on the mound at the small-medium college level.

Mike Kordich is a 2007 right handed pitcher/outfielder from Newport Beach, California with a strong athletic build at 6'1", 185 pounds. He pitches out of the stretch from a 3/4 slot with a small circle in back and he shows good arm speed. He has a quick tempo delivery and shows good balance throughout the delivery. His fastball topped out at 77 mph with some run. Looks like he has more in him. He throws a slider at 68 mph with a small tight break that shows good depth at times. His change topped out at 73 mph with sinking life. He hits from a narrow stance with busy hands. He showed contact ability during BP, and he hit 2 hard line drive singles to center field during the games. He has a nice athletic body and will be a very interesting prospect in 2007. Mike is a good student.
