Zack Montalbano is a 2008 1B/RHP that attends Venice HS and resides in Osprey, FL with a 6'1", 180 lb. frame. Zack has an athletic well-developed build. At the plate Zack shows good hand quickness and is able to square the ball up well. He has good bat speed with power potential but can be a little rotational in his swing. Zack will need to work on keeping his front half on the ball longer and getting his weight on his back side. At first base Zack is athletic around the bag with good hands. He has a quick release with solid arm strength. Zack has an athletic delivery on the mound with a quick loose arm. Zack exudes confidence on the mound and is able to work inside and outside well. His best off-speed pitches is a good straight change-up. Zack has a live body with nice projection on the mound. He is a good student that should attract the attention of of many small to mid-level college programs.

Zack Montalbano is a 2008 1B/P with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame from Osprey FL, who attends Venice HS. He has a medium frame with some present strength. Montalbano's best tools are with the bat. He gets his hips going early in his swing to pull his upper half through and has an aggressive, long pull oriented swing that can put a charge into the ball when he gets his pitch. Coordinating his lower half with his hands is sometimes a challenge but when they come together Montalbano drives the ball hard. He shows particularly good hands strength. Montalbano played first base defensively and ran a 8.25 60. He also pitched a few innings and threw 73-75 mph with a 68 mph curveball. His bat will carry him. Montalbano is also a very good student.
