Javier Gonzalez is a 5'10" 165 pound 2007 right handed pitcher from Miami Lakes, Florida who attends Monsignor Pace High School. He has a lean build with good core strength. Javier throws with a short arm in back and uses a drop and drive delivery. He changes arm slots very well and varies from a 3/4 slot to a low 3/4 slot. Gonzalez has a very deceptive arm action and hides the ball very well. His fastball at 80 mph has good late run to it. His curveball has a 12/6 rotation at 67 mph and is very sharp. Javier is a good prospect to follow with solid tools. He is a top prospect for the 2007 class.
