Jeff Davison is a 2007 3B/IF/OF with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame from Muscatine IA, who attends Muscatine HS. He has a live, athletic frame with some present strength. Davison fits the utility profile on defense. He played all over the field and showed some skills for each position. He profiles best at second base physically. The best part of his game is on offense. Davison hits out of a crouched no stride approach and has quick hands and good bat speed. He's short and quick to the ball and hits it solidly out front while keeping his hands inside most of the time. He squared up on the ball almost every at bat and hit solid line drives to all fields. Davison can handle the bat head and a bit more strength could see him reaching the gaps. Davison is also a very good student.

Jeff Davison is a 2007 3B/IF/OF with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame from Muscatine IA, who attends Muscatine HS. He has a good athletic frame with some strength in his hips and thighs. Davison has a nice left handed bat and is a solid hitter. He has a good, balanced, spread set up with a quick hands that generate bat speed. His strength in his hips and lower half is well used in his swing. Davison has a line drive swing plane and hits the ball hard to all fields. He has some lift at the end of his swing and you can see him developing some pull power down the road. Davison is a 7.3 runner who threw 77 mph during infield drills. His feet work well on defense and he has good lateral range and sound overall balance. His arm has some carry from a high 3/4's release point. Davison plays third base now but it would be interesting to see him at second base, where his bat would play higher. Davison is a very good student who has college level tools on the baseball field.
