Madison Boer is a 2008 RHP with a 6'4'', 220 lb. frame from Eden Prairie, MN who attends Eden Prairie HS. Solid athletic build, good strength, some projection. Fluid, well paced delivery, easy loose arm. FB 87-89 mph, 2-seam has hard bore at times. Throws both CB/SL, both are sharp with power bite. Good change. Feel for all pitches. Also has impressive bat speed, potential 2-way prospect. Must follow for 08 draft. Good student.

Boer is a 6-3, 195 lb sophomore right handed pitcher from Eden Prairie, Minnesota with a big, strong body for his age. Boer also shows some prospect tools as a first baseman. As a pitcher, Boer throws from a 3/4's release point with some moderate fall off to the first base side that cuts his arm extension off out front. He pitched at 80-81 mph early before settling in around 77 mph and will tend to drop his release point occasionally. Both Boer's curveball and slider have good spin and show potential for improvement. He didn't show a change up. Boer is still raw mechanically but could really improve with some adjustments. As a position player, Boer has both good speed for his size and very good arm strength. There is no reason athletically that he couldn't play positions other than first base. He shows very intriguing power potential at the plate and hit a couple of home runs in batting practice. Boer has nice extension to his swing and bat speed to the ball. Boer should be a top level follow at both positions.
