Savard is a 5-10, 185 lb outfielder from New Hampshire with good present strength and athletic ability. He ran the 60 in 6.99, which is better than big league average speed considering the wet track. Savard threw 76 mph from outfield in the workouts with a large, exaggerated crow hop that probably inhibits his overall arm strength and quickness of his release. Savard hits out of an very wide stance. Savard’s strength enables him to generate some good bat speed but he could be a much better hitter with adjustments in his hitting mechanics. He can play and is very athletic.
